Aikyashree Scholarship is a welfare scheme by the West Bengal Minorities’ Department & Finance Corporation to provide financial assistance to minorities students. Under this program, the financial expenses of the deserving students will be covered by the State Government.

The main motive behind the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship is to encourage all minorities to send their children to school and prevent dropout. Most of the people belonging to backward and minorities categories don’t send their children to school due to lack of money. Through these scholarships, the students will be helped financially by the government to continue their studies. Not only will this help the pre-matric students to continue their studies but it will also help the post-matric students to continue their higher education. The scholarships are provided to the applicant on the basis of merit and family income.

Apply for WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship

Here is how you can apply for various scholarships under the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme:

  1. Visit the Official Web Portal of the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarships.
  2. On the home page, click on the New Registration option from the top of the page.
  3. Now, select the district of your institute from the list.
  4. A popup will appear asking for confirmation. Click on the OK button.
  5. The Student Registration page will appear where you will have to provide basic information about yourself.
  6. Enter all the required information and Submit.
  7. You will get your login information on your registered mobile number or email.
  8. Log in using the credentials that you received.
  9. Open the application form of the scholarship for which you are eligible and want to apply.
  10. Fill out the form and upload the scanned copies of all the required documents.
  11. Finally, submit the form.

Track WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship Application Status

Here is how you can track the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship Application Status:

  1. Visit the Official Web Portal of the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarships.
  2. On the home page, click on the Track Application from the menu bar.
  3. Now, select the district of your institute from the list.
  4. A popup will appear asking for confirmation. Click on the OK button.
  5. Now, on the next page, you will have to enter your Year of Registration, District, Track by Application ID or Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Captcha Code.

  6. Enter all the required information and click on the Submit button.
  7. The Application Status will be displayed on the screen.

Renew Application Form

Those aspirants who want to renew their application form must follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the Official Web Portal of the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarships.
  2. Click on the Renewal Application 2020-21 option.
  3. On the next page, you will have to select the district where the institute is located.
  4. A popup will appear asking for confirmation. Click on the OK button.
  5. A login screen will appear on the next page. Here, you will have to enter the Application ID & Date of Birth along with the Captcha code to log in.
  6. Once you have entered all the information, click on the Login button.
  7. Once logged in, the renewal application will appear on the screen. Fill out the renewal form with all the required information.
  8. Finally submit the renewal application.

Find List of Registered Institutions

Here is the procedure to find out the list of registered institutions for the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship:

  1. Visit the Official Web Portal of the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarships.
  2. On the home page, click on the List of Registered Institutions option from the menu bar.
  3. On the next page, select the District Of Your Institute from the list.
  4. A popup will appear asking for confirmation. Click on the OK button.
  5. The list of the registered institutes of the selected district will appear on the screen.

Scholarships Under the Aikyashree Scholarships Scheme

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship: Candidates studying from Class 1 – 10 can apply for this scholarship.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship: Candidates who have completed matric and studying in a college or pursuing UG, PG, Diploma, or any other Post-Matric Course.

3. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: West-Bengal domiciled students pursuing any course from the state as well as those studying out of the state.

4. Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means: West-Bengal domiciled students studying from XI to Postgraduate courses.

5. Talent Support Programme: Candidates pursuing higher secondary, post-graduation, graduation, Ph.D., etc degrees can apply for this scholarship program.

Scholarship Amount Under the Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme

The scholarship amount varies from Scholarship to Scholarship for the Aikyashree Scheme.

  1. Rs 1,100 to 11,000 per year for Pre-matric Students (Class I to X).
  2. Rs 10,200 to 16,500 per year for Post-matric students (Class XI to PhD).
  3. Rs 22,000 to 33,000 per year for Merit cum Means Scholarship (Technical and Professional course students).
  4. Rs 12,000 to 60,000 per year for Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM).
  5. Rs 2,500 to 4,900 per year under the Talent Support Scholarship scheme.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal Domicile Holder
  • The applicant must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination
  • The annual family income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh.
  • Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for pre-matric scholarships.

Post-Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal Domicile Holder
  • The applicant must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination
  • The annual family income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh.
  • Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for post-matric scholarships.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal Domicile Holder
  • The applicant must have got admission to a technical/professional course.
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
  • The annual family income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lakh.
  • Resident students of West Bengal who are pursuing studies in listed institutions outside West Bengal as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation are also eligible for applying.

Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal Domicile Holder
  • The applicant must have got admission in a technical/professional course.
  • The annual family income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lakh.
  • Resident students of West Bengal who are pursuing studies in listed institutions outside West Bengal can also apply.

TSP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal Domicile Holder
  • The applicant must be studying higher secondary/ graduation or any other course from an authorized college/ school of West Bengal
  • Students having less than 50% marks in previous exams can also apply.
  • The annual family income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh.
