IGRS AP is an online portal by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to facilitate the citizens to search for the encumbrance certificate at registration.ap.gov.in. Through this portal, the citizen can obtain the encumbrance certificate of their property, download it, and also apply for an encumbrance certificate just by sitting at their home without having to visit any government office.
Encumbrance Certificate contains the record of all the money-related and legitimate exchanges of a property for a specific time period. In the state of Andhra Pradesh, this document is issued by the Registration and Stamp Department and is essential for all the property owners in the state. It is proof that a property is free from any kind of legal or money related liability and can be sold without any problem and the proprietorship can be transferred without any protection.
Search For Encumbrance Certificate through the IGRS AP Portal
Follow the whole method below to know how you can search for an encumbrance certificate through the IGRS AP Portal:
- Visit the Official Website of Registration and Stamps Department, AP.
- Click on the Encumbrance Search (EC) link under the Services section.
- A new webpage will open up with instructions regarding the Encumbrance Certificate. Read the instruction carefully and click on the Submit button.
- On the next page, you will see three options to search for the Encumbrance Certificate;
- Document Number: You can search for the encumbrance certificate using the document number.
- Memo Number: You can search for the encumbrance certificate using the memo number which is the document number of the memo received from the Registering Sub-Registrar Office (SRO).
- None: This option is used to search for the encumbrance certificate by entering the schedule of the property without the use of Document No. or Memo No.
- Select either of the options from the list and enter the information required along with the captcha code and click on the Submit information.
- Now, select the documents that you want in the Encumbrance by marking the checkbox.
- Click on the Submit button to get the statement of Encumbrance.
- The Encumbrance Certificate will be displayed on the screen.
Download Certified Copy Online
Here is how you can download a certified copy of the encumbrance online through the IGRS AP Portal:
- Visit the Official Website of Registration and Stamps Department, AP.
- Click on the Online CC link under the New Initiatives section.
- A new webpage will open up. Here you will have to select your District and SRO Location and enter the Reg_DoctNo and also Reg_Year.
- Provide all the information, enter the captcha code and click on the Submit button.
- The Certified Copy Receipt will appear on the screen. You can download the certified copy and also, print it if you want to.
Information Available in the Encumbrance Certificate
The following information is available in the Encumbrance Certificate provided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh:
- It contains the name of the landowner
- It contains the subtleties of a property
- It gives the total property portrayal as recorded in the Sale Deeds
