Jansunwai is an online portal by the Government of UP to facilitate the citizens to lodge complaints against the govt departments at jansunwai.up.nic.in. If any citizen is facing any sort of problem or his work is not being done by any government department then he can lodge a complaint against that concerned department on the porta. The objective of the UP Jansunwai Portal is to provide such a platform to the citizens where they can tell the concerned departments about the problems that they are facing and get them resolved.

Register Compaint/Griveance

Here is the whole procedure through which you can register a complaint/grievances on the UP Jansunwai Portal:

  1. Visit the Official Website of the UP Jansunwai Web Portal.
  2. On the homepage, click on the शिकायत पंजीकरण / Register Grievance button.
  3. Once you click on the button, a popup will appear informing you about a list of subjects/topics which can not be treated as grievances. Give consent by marking the tick box and clicking on the Submit button.
  4. On the next page, you will have to register through OTP (One-Time Password). Here you will have you enter your mobile number, email address, and captcha code.
  5. Click on the ओ०टी०पी० भेजें / Send OTP button.
  6. You will receive an OTP on your mobile number and email address for verification. Enter the OTP and click on Submit button.
  7. Now the Complaint/Grievance Registration form will appear in front of you. Fill in the form by providing the correct information regarding your complaint and then submit the form.
  8. After you submit the form, make sure that you note down the Grievance/Complaint Registration Number for future correspondences.

Track Registered Complaints/Grievances

Here is the procedure to track your registered complaints/grievances:

  1. Visit the Official Website of the UP Jansunwai Web Portal.
  2. On the homepage, click on the शिकायत की स्थिति / Track Grievance button.
  3. A new webpage will open. Here enter the Complaint Number, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Captcha Code in the given fields.
  4. Click on the Submit button.
  5. The Status of your Complaint/Grievance will be displayed on the screen.

Only the details and status of complaints registered up to 3 months ago can be seen through the Jansunwai Portal. Details of Complaints older than 3 months cannot be seen.

Send Complaint Reminder

If you had filled a complaint through the Jansunwai Portal and no action has been taken on that complaint then you can send a direct reminder to Chief Minister. The process to send a reminder regarding your complaint is easy and here is how you can do it:

  1. Visit the Official Website of the UP Jansunwai Web Portal.
  2. On the homepage, click on the अनुस्मारक भेजें / Send Reminder button.
  3. A new webpage will open. Here, enter the Complaint Number in the given field and click on the Search button.
  4. A reminder regarding your complaint will be sent.

Send Feedback

Here is how you give feedback regarding the action taken on your complaints:

  1. Visit the Official Website of the UP Jansunwai Web Portal.
  2. On the homepage, click on the आपकी प्रतिक्रिया / Give Feedback button.
  3. On the new webpage, fill in the form by entering all the required information such as Complaint Registration Number, Registered Mobile No. or Registered Email Address, Quality Level, Feedback, and Captcha Code.
  4. Once you fill in the form, click on the GET OTP button.
  5. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile phone/email address to secure the information that you entered. Once you enter the OTP and submit it, your feedback will reach the concerned department.

Complaints not accepted on the UP Jansunwai Portal

The following type of complaints are not accepted on the UP Jansunwai Portal:

  1. Any case pending in an Honorable Court
  2. Any Suggestion
  3. Right to Information Matters
  4. Any demand for Employment
  5. Any demand for Financial Support
  6. Government Service Matters such as Transfer of Government Servants unless they have used all available redressal options in their department.

Jansunwai Mobile Application

There is also a dedicated mobile application available for Android users through which the citizens can easily and conveniently file and track complaints. This makes the whole process of filing a complaint and tracking it much easier, plus, departmental officers can also conveniently find grievances sent to them and work on them through this app. The app is available for both General Public and Departmental Officers.
