TNPDS Smart Ration Card Online Registration
The government of Tamil Nadu has made it easier for the citizens to apply for the Ration Card. The people of the State of Tamil Nadu can apply for the Ration Card Online through the TNPDS portal without having to go to any government office. Here is how you can apply for the Smart Ration Card Online:
- Visit the Official Website of TNPDS.
- Click on the Smart Card Application link under the Smart Card Application Services section.
- Here you will be required to fill out the application form by providing important details such as Family Details, Address, Details of family members, Card Details, Details of Gas Connection, etc.
- Fill in the details and also attach the required documents.
- After filling out the form, click on the Submit button.
- You will receive a reference number on your mobile number. Make sure that you keep the reference number safe for future correspondences.
TNPDS Smart Ration Card Application Status
Once you have applied for the Tamil Nadu Smart Ration Card, it can take a few days before your application is approved. During that time period, you can check out the status of your Application through the TNPDS Portal. Here is how you can check the status of your TNPDS Smart Ration Card:
- Visit the Official Website of TNPDS.
- Click on the Smart Card Application Status link under the Smart Card Application Services section.
- You will be taken to a new webpage. Here you will be asked to enter the Reference Number that was sent to your registered mobile number during the registration process.
- Click on the Submit button.
- The application status will be now displayed on the screen.
Download TNPDS Smart Ration Card
Here is how you can download the TNPDS Smart Ration Card after your application is approved:
- Visit the Official Website of TNPDS.
- Click on the Citizen Login button.
- Here, enter your mobile number that was registered with your Ration Card along with Captcha code and click on the Submit button.
- You will receive an OTP on your mobile number.
- Enter the OTP in the given field.
- You will see an option for Smart Card Print, click on it.
- The Smart Card will be saved on your device in PDF form. You can then take a print of your Smart Card.

Types of Ration Card
