UP Ration Card allows eligible citizens and families of the Uttar Pradesh State to get ration food at the subsidy rate every month. Search eligibility list on fcs.up.gov.in. The ration cards are under the Food and Logistics Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Government of UP has an online portal through which the citizens can download the UP Ration Card Application Forms and apply for Ration Cards through those forms.

Ration Card Eligibility List

Here is how you can find your name in the Eligibility list under the Self-Reliant India scheme:

  1. Visit the Official Website of the Food Department, Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Once the website loads, scroll down. Click on the Ration Card Eligibility List section.
  3. Now, select your district from the list.
  4. After this, a new page will open. Here you will see the list of urban and rural areas. Select your urban/rural area from the list.
  5. A list of shopkeepers in that area will be shown.
  6. The number of ration cards linked to a shopkeeper will be mentioned next to the shopkeeper’s name.
  7. Click on the number next to a shopkeeper’s name under the ration card column.
  8. A new page will open. Here you will find the names and Ration ID of every Ration Cardholder linked with that Shopkeeper’s Shop.

Here is how you can find your name in the UP Ration Card NFSA Eligibility List

  1. Visit the Official Website of the Food Department, Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Once the website loads, click on the Search in Ration Card Eligibility list option under the Important Links section.
  3. You will see two options there to search in the eligibility list of NFSA, by ration card number or from ration card other details.
  4. If you select the by ration card number then you will just have to enter the ration card number and the captcha code. If you select from ration card other details then you will have to provide your District, Area, Development Block/Town, Card Type, Head of the Family Name, Head’s Father name.
  5. Enter the required detail and click on the Search option.
  6. The eligibility list will be shown on the screen and you will see if you are eligible for NFSA or not.

Types of Ration Cards provided by UP Government

The state of Uttar Pradesh provides three types of Ration Cards to its citizens:

  1. APL Ration Card: This ration card is available for those families who are living above the poverty line. These families can apply for APL Ration Card and the cardholders will be provided 15 kg ration per month by the government.
  2. BPL Ration Card: This ration card is available for those families who are living below the poverty line. These families can apply for BPL Ration Card and the cardholders will be provided 25 kg ration per month by the government.
  3. AAY Ration Card: This ration card is available for those families who are living in extreme poverty. AAY cardholders will be provided 35 kg ration per month by the government.

Eligibility Criteria for UP Ration Card

Only those citizens will be issued a ration card who are eligible for it. Before applying for the ration card, the applicant should go through the eligibility criteria, which is as under:

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh
  • Ration card criteria for rural and urban areas are somewhat different.
  • Ration cards will be issued only in the name of the head of the family

Documents Required for UP Ration Card

The following documents are required along with the application form of the UP Ration Card. The applicants are required to keep the following documents with them when applying for the UP Ration Card:

Recent Passport Size Photo of the head of the family along with all the other members of the family

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Income Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • Previous Electricity Bills
  • Gas Connection Details
  • Bank Passbook and photocopy of its first page.

All of the aforementioned documents are compulsory and no application will be approved or considered without these documents attached.

UP Ration Card Application

Citizens who already possess a UP Ration Card are required to renew their ration card while those not having a ration card can apply for one. The Government of Uttar Pradesh only allows offline applications and these applications can be downloaded from the official website of UP Ration Card Website.

Ration Cards are available separately for both the rural and urban citizens of the state of UP. However, the state hasn’t yet allowed online submission of application forms for the issuance of ration cards, and therefore, the eligible citizens have to fill in the form and submit it at CSC, Tehsil, or any concerned office. After submission of the application form, the applicants are issued a receipt or provisional ration card no.
